What is the PV GreenCard?

The PV GreenCard has been developed to promote safe and high-quality Solar PV installations. It focuses on education, skills development, and compliance in line with international best practices. It acts as an as-built report for the system owner and a comprehensive checklist for the installer.

Course Structure & Content
  • 4 days Theoretical + 1 day Practical
  • Solar basics, components, system layouts, and theory.
  • Practical day: Mounting panels, cabling, and commissioning.
  • Planning, sizing, case studies & legal aspects.
  • Meals, course material, and completion certificate included.
Final Assessment Details

Evaluates practical and theoretical PV installation abilities (80% passing score). SAPVIA issues electronic certificates upon completion. Only SAPVIA-certified installers are allowed to issue the official PV GreenCard to their clients.

  • • Electrical & Solar PV Fundamentals

Practical Evaluation
